USG game market intel

Terms of service

Plain language on purpose. Last updated 7 August 2026.

What this is

USG sells market research reports about video games: reports on games that exist on Steam, and reports on ideas you describe to us. Buying a report means agreeing to these terms.

Your account

Reports belong to the account that bought them, so you need one to buy. Keep your password to yourself; anything done signed in as you counts as you. You can delete your account at any time from settings, which permanently deletes your library and every idea report we hold for you.

What you are buying

A report is a licence to read and keep it for your own use, including showing it to the people you are building with. It is not a licence to resell it, republish it, or pass it off as your own research. Prices are shown before you pay, in US dollars, charged once per purchase. There are no subscriptions.

The idea report is made to order. The interview and the market search are the product, and they run when you confirm your brief. Confirming the brief is the point of no return; the refund terms on the support page say exactly what that means, and they are part of these terms.

What the reports are, and are not

Our reports measure what players actually did: reviews, ratings, complaints, and the shape of the field. They are honest measurement, not guarantees. A favourable report does not promise your game will succeed, and an unfavourable one does not forbid you from building it. Decisions about your game, and their consequences, are yours.

Steam data belongs to Valve and to the players who wrote it. We quote reviews as evidence, under fair use, and we do not claim ownership of them.

Fair dealing, both ways

We may refuse or refund a purchase and close an account that abuses the service, scrapes it, or attacks it. We will never quietly take away something you paid for: if a report you own becomes unreadable on the site, the PDF remains yours, and support will make you whole.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to the service is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will say so on this page and, for anything that affects what you already own, by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
